A bevy of *WA *'s hottest and up-and-coming models will take centre stage at the David Jones launch in Sydney next week, which will mark the 175th anniversary of the leading department store.

  • Perth *-raised bombshell *Jessica Gomes *, left, who has flown in from Los Angeles to take part in the event, spoke to _AAA Weekend _yesterday ahead of making her superstar appearance on the DJs catwalk. "I love coming home and it's such an honour to work with David Jones again," she said. Gomes - who has captured the world with her exotic looks - said she was excited to unveil the new pieces from DJs autumn/winter collection.

"I'm loving the leather pieces, they're really great for Australia and LA," she said. "I really love how Australians use a lot of graphics and colours. They're really cutting-edge pieces which are becoming well-known in LA."

While her hectic schedule means she won't be getting back to Perth to visit family, Gomes said she would see her parents at the launch next week. "My parents are flying over to Sydney on Monday to see me in the show," she said. "They're really excited to see me." When questioned over reports that she's a possible candidate for Seven's Dancing with the Stars this year, it was all news to Gomes, who competed in the Korean version in 2011.

"That's actually the first I've heard of it," she laughed. "I don't think I could compete for a second time, wouldn't that be unfair?"

Also joining Gomes on the catwalk is *Perth *stunner *Amy Finlayson *, inset. The former Methodist Ladies' College student's runway appearance comes off the back of her big screen debut later this year, where she's an extra alongside another Perth beauty, *Gemma Ward *, * *in *Baz Luhrmann *'s, The Great Gatsby.

The event will also screen live at the David Jones Perth city store for the first time.
