The remaining five Big Brother housemates each got one step closer to winning $250,000 last night when intruder Sam Wallace was evicted from the Gold Coast complex.
With no nominations occurring this week, all housemates were up for eviction and rather than voting to save their favourites, the public was voting for the winner.
Twenty-one-year-old Wallace, who works as a waiter and bartender on the Gold Coast, received the least number of votes to win with 7 per cent of the total.
Zoe Westgarth followed on 15 per cent, then Michael Beveridge on 16 per cent, Layla Subritzky on 18 per cent and Benjamin Norris on 20 per cent. Serial nominee Estelle Landy headed up the leaderboard on 24 per cent as the favourite to take out the competition.
Wallace entered the house as an intruder on day 36 and shortly after started up a romance with Subritzky, which gradually became more serious as time went on.
After his eviction, Wallace told host Sonia Kruger that his relationship with the British beauty was the real deal. "I am going to be here when she comes out," he said.
Last night a teary farewell was also paid to an integral part of the house, red kelpie pup Delilah, who originally entered the house from an animal shelter and was introduced to her new family as chosen by the housemates.
Another two housemates will be evicted today at 7pm on Nine/WIN before the winner is announced on Wednesday at 7pm.
