Big Brother's latest casualty Ava David has hit back at claims her romance with fellow housemate Josh Moore was just for the cameras.
Since entering the house three weeks ago as an intruder, the Melbourne singer quickly partnered up with Adelaide muso Moore and the two were often seen embracing and kissing.
Other housemates soon began to question whether the coupling, below right, was a strategic ploy to keep the duo on the Nine show by depicting a fairytale romance.
However, following her eviction on Tuesday night, David told AAA her attraction for Moore had taken her by surprise and was not a ruse.
"It's like between Joshy and I, so our connection is very natural and very real and I am so happy to know him," the 29-year-old said. "There's nothing to question or think about."
Despite the criticism, David left the house with nothing but praise for her former housemates.
The pretty brunette said she knew she would be the one to go this week because she did not have time to gain the viewers' support during her short stint in the house.
"Being an intruder was always going to be a tough gig and I was the underdog," David, right, said.
"But my experience in the house was epic and I loved every moment.
"Less people have been in the house than have been on the moon, so I'll take that feather and put it in my cap."
The bombshell now has her sights set on furthering her music career but in the meantime she is looking forward to having a drink with Moore out in the real world.
