Los Angeles prosecutors have charged a man with trespassing after his weekend arrest at the home of actress and singer Miley Cyrus.
A city attorney's spokesman says Jason Luis Rivera was charged on Monday with two counts of trespassing and one count of resisting arrest.
Rivera was arrested early Saturday after police say he attempted to force himself into Cyrus' home. Police said at the time he was carrying a pair of scissors and claimed to be a friend of Cyrus.
He is scheduled to face court on Monday. Jail records show the 40-year-old is currently being held on $US1,000 ($A968.10) bail.
