The Veronicas in love with WA

They shot the cover for their upcoming album here in WA, and now pop duo the Veronicas have hinted they may be making a trip back over for the Perth Fashion Festival later this month.

For their first album in five years, twin sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso worked with renowned photographer Russell James on the shoot, which took place at The Pinnacles and saw the pair dress up in the latest creations of several WA designers, including Zhivago, Ange Lange, Empire Rose and Poppy Lissiman.

While in Perth promoting the band's latest single Lolita, Lisa told Access All Areas: "There's a lot of scheduling things that are happening at the moment but we're really going to be pushing for that.

"We'd love to come out be a part of it. So if we can, we'll be here."

The 27-year-old singers, who hail from Brisbane, are feeling refreshed after their five-year hiatus from recording.

They have spent time touring the world with their last album Hook Me Up, which included their global hit Untouched,

as well as taking a breather to work on separate projects in Los Angeles.

Jessica told AAA it was important to create a bit of space between her and her sister after living in each other's pockets for so long.

"Spending that amount of time with someone, let alone a sibling, isn't necessarily healthy," she said.

"But we love doing what we do and we're best friends and we're reinspired to start touring again together."

With their Life on Mars album launch set for early next year, the girls are busy putting together a full live show with their band.

They are hoping to do some secret shows around Australia in the coming months before a national tour next year.

Lisa said they would be coming back to Perth as soon as possible.

"We've fallen in love with it here," she said. "We'll be spending more time here if we can."
