Cleo Bachelor of the Year and MasterChef star Hayden Quinn is swapping the apron for action boots to compete in one of the toughest adventure races in the Southern Hemisphere - the Tough Bloke Challenge.
Quinn, who is currently filming MasterChef All Stars, has been training in his spare time for next month's race.
Reputed to be one of the most gruelling adventure courses in Australia, the race at Cataract Scout Park in Appin, on Sydney's southern outskirts, will be held on July 1.
Male and female competitors will face 18 muscle-burning obstacles across a hellish six-kilometre cross-country course laden with mud pits and ice-cold river crossings.
This year the Tough Bloke Challenge is partnering with Barnardos to raise much needed funds for children who suffer from, or who are at risk of, abuse, neglect, homelessness or poverty.
Quinn found fame as a contestant on the third series of Network Ten's popular cooking show MasterChef, and was crowned the 2012 Cleo Bachelor of the Year in April.
