Gallagher agrees to child support
L *iam Gallagher *has reached a "last minute" child-support deal.
The former Oasis star, inset, has reportedly agreed to pay over $5757 a month to *Liza Ghorbani *, the mother of his two-year-old daughter, * Gemma *, a source close to journalist Ghorbani revealed.
The exact figure, which remained confidential throughout proceedings, is expected to be about $76,500 a year.
Speaking after the agreement was made, Ghorbani said: "I am just really relieved this ordeal is over for the sake of my daughter."
Gallagher * - who split from Ghorbani after finding out she was pregnant - did not attend the hearing and the journalist and her legal team were waiting for the original copy of the agreements, signed by the 42-year-old singer, to be sent over from Britain, the New York Post's Page Six column reported.
Speaking after a decision was made, the judge added: "I am pleased to hear the parties have reached a settlement with all the issues before the court. I understand the settlement is confidential. I am satisfied it is a just agreement.
"My concern is always what's best for the child and I'm happy you have worked out an appropriate settlement."
Legal action had continued for 18 months after the pair failed to agree on child support informally.
Previously, Gallagher had been fined twice for his "frivolous conduct" and failing to turn up for hearings.
