Former professional athlete *Amanda Bisk *is determined to make the world a healthier, happier and more flexible place.

Once a pole vaulter, Bisk's life changed when she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue while training for the 2012 London Olympics, which forced her to retire from the sport she had dedicated her life to.

Rather than allowing herself to be weighed down with negativity, the *Scarborough *-raised fitness junkie immersed herself in yoga to help on the road to recovery.

"It changed my life but it really was a blessing in disguise," she told _AAA Weekend _of the experience.

"I didn't exercise for six months and when I did find a time that my body felt like it needed to move again I thought 'What can I give my body that's not going to bury me back down in chronic fatigue symptoms again?' And that's when I discovered yoga."

After spending the past eight months working at a crossfit gym in Sydney, the ultra-flexible 28-year-old is now back in * Perth *teaching yoga at 24/7 Lifestyle Studio in *Sorrento *.

"I'm so, so excited to have a studio where I can come to and be so comfortable," Bisk said.

"As a teacher, seeing someone accomplish something is just so rewarding for me and gives me a real energy buzz."

Soon after discovering the benefits of yoga, Bisk created an Instagram account to document her daily exercise and fitness regime, which now boasts 178,000 dedicated followers.

In a bid to help others with their health and wellbeing, Bisk has harnessed her online following, launching a series of on-demand exercise videos via her website.

"I started an Instagram account almost two years ago now and as my following grew I had a lot of people asking 'What kind of fitness routine do you do', and asking for advice about exercise," she explained.

"From that I thought what better excuse to create my own fitness program, which is what I'm working on at the moment."
