Katy Perry lands in Perth

Katy Perry has touched down in Perth for the first time.

The pop star arrived via private jet from Melbourne at noon today.

She briefly met with some fans who had staked out her arrival, and was gracious enough to take selfies with them while saying how excited she was to be in Perth for the first time.

Wearing Ray Bans and an Adidas jacket, The 30-year-old looked nothing like her pop star persona who is known for her outrageous, over-the-top stage costumes.

The Roar singer will have a couple of days in Perth before kicking off the Australian leg of her Prismatic tour at Peth Arena with two sold out shows on Friday and Saturday night.

After touching down in Melbourne yesterday, Perry told her 59 million Twitter followers she couldn't believe how amazing the Australian weather was.

"TWO SUMMERS IN ONE YEAR?! THANKS AUSTRALIA!" she tweeted.

Perry will play 23 sold out arena dates across Australia, finishing in Brisbane on December 15.
