Perry's cross-country 30th birthday

Katy Perry celebrated her 30th birthday in Paris, after her plan to head to Egypt was ditched after security fears.

The pop star - who turned 30 on October 25 - flew in a private jet to the French capital after spending a few days celebrating in Morocco alongside 70 of her friends.

A source told the New York Daily News: "They piled off the flight, her friends, assistants, her whole camp.

"She flew all of her friends out, all on her dime. DJ Mia Moretti was in the group, and Katy's boyfriend Diplo."

The star - who is on a three week hiatus from her Prismatic World Tour - decided to book the last minute flight after her plans to head to Egypt were dashed following a security threat.

The Roar hitmaker reportedly landed at Paris's Le Bourget Airport on Sunday evening , where she was seen acting "cuddly" and taking selfies with her boyfriend.

Later on, some of the group were spotted at Le Jules Verne, a Michelin Star restaurant located on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower.

The source continued: "She was all dolled up. Her reservation was at 9:30 pm, she left close to midnight."

Prior to their Parisian outing, Perry, Diplo, and their pals travelled around Morocco, having dinner on the beach in Marrakesh one night.

"There were several fire dancers, knife and sword performers, and every night at dinner there were belly dancers," a source told Us magazine, adding that after a daytime outing, the group returned for another dinner.

"They came back the second night and had a dinner with lots of amazing belly dance routines and then turned the place into a dance party."

Perry heads Down Under next week where she will kick off her highly anticipated Australian tour in WA with two sold out shows at Perth Arena next Friday and Saturday.
