New series showcases WA
From profiles on Perth's hottest bars and restaurants to adventure ideas, Seven's new lifestyle program WA Weekender is packed full of ideas for weekends on the west coast.
Premiering this weekend, WA Weekender will feature presenters Haley Thompson, Jessie James, Saran Danze and Mat Dwyer alongside former Neighbours star Dan Paris.
"We're giving people every option we can think of, in every manner and every way, to enjoy their weekends," Paris said.
"It covers everything from how to renovate, to gardening, right through to long weekends away. It's breaking away from your typical lifestyle program, which I think will be really nice to watch.
"WA is great in particular - from snow-capped mountains down south to tropical monsoonal weather up north, it's so diverse, which means there's lots to photograph and lots to visit."
After wrapping up a seven-year stint on Neighbours in 2005, Paris moved back to Esperance, his childhood home.
He has not looked back, relishing the opportunity to work as a presenter and landscape photographer rather than just playing a character.
"Acting was great but, if I'm honest, the people I'm working with at the moment in my role as a presenter and in the photography industry, they're just a beautiful breed of people," Paris said.
WA Weekender begins on Saturday at 5.30pm on Seven/GWN7.
