Kylie Minogue has responded to critics who accused her of lip-syncing at the Logies by insisting she was singing live.
Minogue was accused of miming during the world premiere performance of her new single I Was Gonna Cancel on Sunday night.
"Kylie Minogue is SingStar champion of the logies2014" and "Kylie Minogue - I think it might be time to retire. Deliciously atrocious lip-syncing logies kylieminogue" were among numerous tweets questioning whether the pop princess was singing live.
On Monday Minogue rejected the lip-syncing claims during a twitter conversation.
"kylieminogue I quite liked the performance.?? It's cool that it wasn't the glittery production that was expected. I love that too though.??" tweeted Mark L Surdo.
"MarkLoSurdo94 yes, we did something different and YES, I was singing live," Mingoue responded.
Critics took to twitter to rubbish Minogue's performance on Sunday and even the choice of her dancers' outfits.
"Kylie's dance routine looked like it was performed at my school camp back in 1989," TV personality Myf Warhurst tweeted.
"Kylie channelling Abba girl fashion styling," posted another user, while media personality Joe Hildebrand said "Congratulations to Kylie Minogue for dressing her entire dancing troupe at Lowes."
Minogue, who has relocated to Australia to be a mentor on The Voice, wore a white bermuda-shorts romper outfit for the performance while her dancers wore understated shirts and jeans.
But Minogue might be having the last laugh - with the look right on-trend for normcore style, an emerging trend which involves understated, nondescript and off-brand clothing.
