Jade sends mum love
Songstress Samantha Jade has taken to social media to offer a touching birthday tribute to her mother Jacquie Gibbs.
Jade, from Morley, took to Instagram to wish her sick mother a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday to my beautiful Mumma. My absolute inspiration and hero," she wrote, alongside a snap which shows the pop star holding Gibbs' hand.
"So happy to be home in Perth celebrating with her today and my family. We are so proud and lucky."
Widespread support has been pouring in for the petite singer, who recently turned 27, since it was revealed in February that her mother is battling cancer.
The past few months have been taxing for the former X Factor winner, who returned to WA to be by her mother's side.
Despite the emotional rollercoaster, Jade has soldiered on with her busy schedule, which included flying to Sydney to perform on Seven's Sunrise program on Monday, while also trying to finish off her album in the recording studio back in Perth.
Jade will again put on a brave face when she makes an in-store appearance at Lakeside Joondalup at noon on Saturday, where she will perform and sign copies of her new single UP!
