M *argot Robbie * has cemented her status as the next "It" girl after scooping up her first movie award.
The Australian ingenue, left, was named best female newcomer at the Empire Film Awards in London at the weekend, beating out strong competition from Oscar winner *Lupita Nyong'o *and fellow Aussie *Elizabeth Debicki *.
Robbie's win comes off the back of her big breakout role in The Wolf of Wall Street, where she created a buzz as *Leonardo DiCaprio *'s on-screen wife in the *Martin Scorsese *-directed stockbroker drama.
Speaking to press at the star- studded event, the 23-year-old seemed lost for words after her win.
"I've never won an award before, this is very exciting," Robbie said.
"I don't know what to say; it's a real honour to be here, I'm so happy there's a category for newcomers."
Robbie looked every bit the Hollywood bombshell as she walked the red carpet in a ruby-toned jumpsuit held in at the waist by a thin black belt.
Though she rose to international attention with her signature blonde locks, the starlet was still sporting the darkened brunette do she switched to while filming her latest film, Z for Zacariah.
