Former Packed to the Rafters actor James Stewart is set to grace the stage in his partner Jessica Marais' home town of Perth.
Stewart has been cast as infamous writer Boris Trigorin in Black Swan Theatre Company's production of The Seagull, which runs from August 9-31 at the Heath Ledger Theatre.
He will appear alongside film star Greta Scacchi, veteran actor Andrew McFarland and local ingenue Sarah McNeill in the classic play by Russian dramatist Anton Chekhov.
Stewart and Marais, who met on the Packed to the Rafters set several years ago, are currently gearing up to perform on stage together for the first time in the Australian comedy Cosi, which begins on Saturday at Brisbane's Round House Theatre.
Stewart's stint in Perth for The Seagull is likely to see WA-raised actress Marais return home for the season along with their daughter Scout, who turns two in May, with some speculating the blonde beauty will be sitting in the front row to cheer her beau on during the play's opening night.
