Melbourne twins Helena and Vikki Moursellas put their money where is on Sunday night when they received a history-making score on My Kitchen Rules, but will outspoken WA duo Kelly Ramsay and Chloe James be as lucky?

After speaking about their passion for cooking throughout first week of instant restaurant challenges, the Perth pair will take to the kitchen tonight as the final team to cook in the latest series' first round.

Their episode comes on the heels of the Moursellas sisters' recent victory when they received the equal highest score ever on the show, 95 out of a possible 110 points, for their three-course Greek-inspired menu.

After the success of their rivals, the pressure is now on for Ramsay and James to deliver with their instant restaurant.

But even before the episode airs, reports have already emerged accusing the friends of cheating by using store-bought ingredients in their dishes.

"I believe it was 100 per cent cheating," fellow contestant Deb Payne told New Idea magazine.

"They talked themselves up to be these wonderful, well-travelled people who have done everything and then they give us store-bought ingredients… They just rub me the wrong way."

But the local cooks, who have spoken about their five-star dining experiences around the world on the Seven show, said they did not deserve the "backlash" they received from the other teams.

"It's not like we used a sauce for the base of our dish that was store bought," Ramsay explained.

"A lot of teams use store-bought stock. I think that's worse."

James added some of the criticism they copped was not just about their culinary skills.

"They were not [criticising] our food but our personality," she said.

"I think when you get different people from different parts of the country with different backgrounds and upbringings, you're going to get clashes. You can't get along with everyone."
