Days after it emerged she parted ways with her long-term flame, Emma Watson has jetted off on a romantic holiday with her new boyfriend.

The 23-year-old actress, who recently began dating Matthew Janney after splitting from her boyfriend of two years William Adamowicz last year, was spotted looking very much in love as she soaked up the sun with the Oxford University rugby hunk in the Caribbean.

Janney, 21, wrapped his arms around the Harry Potter star and gave her a kiss as they took a dip in the sea together before enjoying a stroll on the beach.

"They didn't have a care in the world. Matt was very protective of Emma - often putting his arm around her," an eyewitness told the UK's Daily Mirror newspaper.

"He was being a gentleman the whole time. He is clearly very much into her, but then who wouldn't be, she is one of Hollywood's hottest stars? They couldn't stop giggling and smiling the whole time."

Watson was also spotted "sucking the guy's face" at Gatwick airport in London before their flight earlier this week.

A source previously revealed the couple's romance is still in the early stages but the pair are "very much into each other".

"Matt's a real hit with the girls but he may have finally met his match. She doesn't suffer fools gladly. But Matt's a lovely guy, charismatic and intelligent. They make a great couple," the insider said.

Watson is currently studying English at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, but the star attended Worcester College, Oxford for the 2011-12 academic year.
