Losers prove to be TV winners
Popular series Winners & Losers has been given a fourth season, a rare feat for scripted local programming.
Seven announced today that a new season of the hit drama would begin production early next year with all it stars - Melissa Bergland, Virginia Gay, Katherine Hicks, Zoe Tuckwell-Smith and Melanie Vallejo - set to return.
Created by Perth-raised TV king Bevan Lee, the series premiered in March 2011 and follows the lives of a group of girlfriends bound together by their shared life experiences. Next year, the girls will face some of their biggest challenges in what promises to be the most compelling season yet.
"Winners & Losers is a show everyone loves working on. The contemporary vibe allows for great storytelling against a backdrop everyone can relate to," said Seven's head of drama, Julie McGauran.
"There's so much in store for our favourite girls as we follow them through triumph, tragedy and everything in between."
