Usher's ex-wife has demanded an emergency court hearing in a bid to regain custody of the former couple's two children a day after their eldest son almost drowned in the singer's pool.
The Yeah! singer's five-year-old son Usher Raymond V was rushed to an Atlanta, Georgia hospital on Monday after becoming stuck in a drain while trying to retrieve a toy.
The boy's father returned home and accompanied his son to a nearby hospital in the back of an ambulance; he was later joined there by his former wife, Tameka Raymond, who has now filed legal documents in Fulton County, Georgia claiming that the singer is abdicating his parental responsibilities by letting other people look after their kids.
Usher's sons were being watched by their aunt and a maid at the time of the pool incident.
Tameka, who has limited custodial rights to the former couple's two kids, is seeking a hearing later this week in a bid to regain full physical custody of the boys.
In court documents obtained by editors at TMZ.com, Tameka alleges that Usher is creating a dangerous environment for their children, adding that their aunt is too physical when disciplining her sons.
