It was an evening that went from bad to worse for My Kitchen Rules' *WA * gatecrashers *Kieran Reidy *and * Nastassia Jorre St de Jorre *, right, who struggled to prove to their opponents in last night's episode that they have what it takes to top the leaderboard.
Having lost valuable preparation time after racing across *Perth * in search of rainbow trout - the key ingredient in their main - the pair then found themselves scrambling to dish up their entree in good time.
But after serving "undercooked" ravioli to their guests, Reidy told _AAA _he was close to giving up.
"There was a point where it could have gone even more downhill," he said. "With everything that happened that day and how behind we were, it was verging on being the straw that broke my back."
While Jorre St de Jorre helped Reidy to pull it together, their bad night continued when their main dish - trout baked in salt dough - was served close to three hours late.
But regardless of the outcome, Jorre St de Jorre said they were on the show for the experience, not just to win.
"If we don't make it, we don't make it," she said. "For us, it's about being honest."
The pair were also oblivious to the cattiness that unfolded at the dining table between Cabramatta besties * Ashlee Pham *and *Sophie Pou * and Victorian housewives *Melina Bagnato *and *Angela Kennedy *.
"We had no idea that was going on," Reidy said.
"Look, everyone tastes differently and has a different opinion on things," Jorre St de Jorre added.
Monday's episode, which airs at 7.30pm on Seven/GWN7, will see Hobart's *Ali Hawkins *and *Sam Berechree *attempt their second cook-off.
