An emotional Simon Baker has been honoured with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
The Launceston-born actor broke down as he spoke about his wife Rebecca Rigg and their three children, Stella Breeze, Claude Blue and Harry Friday, who sat front row at the ceremony held on Hollywood Boulevard on Thursday.
"Kids, this is for you," a weeping Baker said.
"My cup runneth over."
Baker's good friend, Naomi Watts, presented him with the star.
It was another stunning career milestone for the 43-year-old actor, who started his career in a 1991 Melissa Tkautz music video, had stints on soaps E Street and Home & Away and is today one of the highest-paid TV actors, earning $US435,000 an episode.
The ceremony was held outside Beso restaurant, owned by Desperate Housewife star Eva Longoria.
