TV prankster kicked out of Melbourne hotel

TV prankster Bam Margera says he has been booted out of a hotel in Melbourne and "banned for life" just a day after flying in from the US.

The Jackass stuntman arrived at the city's Citadines on Bourke on Thursday ahead of a DJ gig that night at Melbourne's Ding Dong Lounge, an underground and alternative rock'n'roll bar.

But it appears a mystery incident after the gig forced hotel managers to kick him out without his luggage.

"Citadines hotel I am kicked out of for life. Thanks goodness. Cause I paid $5k last time for spilled paint (sic)," the 33-year-old tweeted early this morning.

"So now I'm kicked out of my hotel and they wouldn't let me get my luggage. Dunno if my girlfriend is kicked out."

Without naming Margera, the hotel confirmed an incident occurred in the early hours of Friday and police were called to remove a guest.

"At 3.30am this morning, the police were called to attend Citadines on Bourke Melbourne in response to an incident. The police removed the guest from the premise at approximately 4.15am," general manager Allison Englebretsen said.

"After this time, there were no further incidents. We value the privacy of our guests and are unable to disclose any more specific details about the incident."

Staff at the Ding Dong Lounge confirmed Margera was a DJ at the venue on Thursday until the early hours and said he was expected to play again on Saturday night with his band.

Victoria police have been contacted for comment.
