As the woman behind many of *WA *'s hottest events, *Rosita Stangl *knows a thing or two about how to get a spot on the *Perth * A-list.

For more than 20 years, the flame-haired public relations guru, left, has been at the forefront of the entertainment and sporting worlds, working on projects such as the annual *Hopman Cup Ball *, the legendary *Cirque du Soleil *opening nights and various music tours where she regularly rubs shoulders with rock and pop royalty.

With latest Cirque du Soleil production OVO set to hit Perth in April, Stangl is busily making plans to ensure the opening night goes off with a bang and tells _AAA _ the guest-list culling process has already begun.

"My so-called A-list is around the 1000 mark and I tweak that for various shows," she says. "This year there will be new people and there will be some who wonder why they're not on the list anymore. It's my endeavour to get the most interesting mix of people in that room."

Stangl's list is ever-changing thanks to the dynamic nature of Perth's social scene. She says being taken off that list could be as easy as failing to put in an RSVP or not staying socially active, but getting a spot in the first place is something different entirely.

"In my case it's about always keeping my eyes open for interesting people, following the social pages. When I attend events I look around for beautiful people and write their names down," Stangl reveals. "Occasionally someone will ask and if they give me a good reason, of course they are very welcome. But then there are some people who demand to be on the list and it's very unfortunate when they have that attitude."

Stangl has dealt with her fair share of attitudes during her many years in the entertainment industry and while she names *Lisa Marie Presley *, members of *KISS * and *Chris Isaac *as some of the "loveliest" people she has had the pleasure of dealing with, she has also seen some strange demands come from other celebrities.

"You get all the demands like a certain type of water, certain colour in a dressing room or particular food that doesn't end up being consumed," Stangl says.

"And then you have the temper tantrums. I know of a rapper who demanded food from all types of places near where he was staying and literally threw it across the room in disgust."

But dealing with the glitterati is all part of the job for Stangl. Though she doesn't get starstruck, she says every now and again she will be walking down the street with a celebrity and will notice recognition in the eyes of passers-by.

"All of a sudden I think 'Oh my gosh, I am walking down the street with this person'," she laughs. "My collection of Access All Areas passes is quite good."
