Orlando Bloom's mother has hit back at ongoing media rumours that her son's marriage to Aussie model Miranda Kerr is in trouble.

Despite recent reports that the couple have been MIA in each other's lives recently because of their hectic work schedules, Bloom's mother Sonia Copeland-Bloom has flatly denied the break-up rumours, insisting that "everything is fine".

"I don't know where this has come from but, my gosh, they are very happy," she told British newspaper The Daily Mail, also revealing that the couple were planning on spending Christmas together.

According to InTouch magazine in the US, an Australian publicist for Kerr has also flatly denied rumours of a split: "You have nothing to worry about - everything is fabricated."

Despite those close to the couple continually rejecting the rumours, speculation continues, with Bloom and Kerr seeing little of one another recently.

The last time they were spotted together was in October but in recent weeks, while Bloom has been in South Africa filming his latest movie, Kerr was seen out and about with actor Leonardo DiCaprio at various get-togethers in New York.

Initial reports suggesting that the couple's marriage was on the rocks surfaced back in July but were quickly denied by Kerr's manager Annie Kelly.
