Stewart Francis has won the award for the funniest joke at the world’s biggest comedy festival for a gag about David and Victoria Beckham.
The Canadian took top prize for this funny at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival: “You know who really gives kids a bad name? Posh and Becks."
British comedian Time Vine was runner-up for the second year in a row with Will Marsh third.
Commenting on his win, Mr Stewart said: "1969 West Mall Soccer Association's Most Valuable Player, and now this."
A shortlist of 30 jokes was put forward by a digital television station’s Dave TV’s panel of judges and the public then voted for their favourite.
The top ten jokes were:

Will Marsh - "I was raised as an only child, which really annoyed my sister."

Tim Vine - "I took part in the sun tanning Olympics - I just got Bronze."
George Ryegold - "Pornography is often frowned upon, but that's only because I'm concentrating."
Stewart Francis - "I saw a documentary on how ships are kept together. Riveting!"
