Showcase for Case

The Case IH 380CVT road tested at Claremont Showgrounds.

The Case IH Red Power Tour hit Perth last week, giving farmers and dealers the opportunity to test drive this year's latest models.

Product manager Pete McCann said the national tour, which kicked off in Perth, had been a success with many WA farmers developing an appetite to modernise and update their machinery on the back of two high-yielding crop years in a row.

The three-day event included two days of training for its dealers, with the last day devoted to customers.

On display were the new Farmall C, Maxxum CVT, Puma CVT, mid-range Magnum, Magnum-wheeled, Steiger and the 2015 Tractor of the Year - Magnum Rowtrac.

"The Rowtrac has never been seen before in the range and was a certain highlight for the attendees," Mr McCann said.

"The design has taken the Magnum platform and adapted the Rowtrac undercarriage. Our catchcry for it is: 'more traction, less compaction, with four points of contact on the ground.'"

Mr McCann said most of the farmers could see the agronomic benefit of the features.

The tour will now travel around the country over the next four weeks going to South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and finishing up in Queensland.
