BC meets fourth, final output milestone

BC Iron says it has achieved its fourth and final annual production milestone by exporting more than 3.5 million tonnes for the 2011-12 financial year from its Nullagine iron ore joint venture project in the Pilbara.

The company said it yesterday exported its biggest shipment to date (224,000 tonnes) from the Herb Elliott Port in Port Hedland.

Nullagine is a 50/50 joint venture between BC Iron and Fortescue Metals Group, with the two companies sharing FMG's rail and port infrastructure.

BC shares were up two cents, or 0.85 per cent, to $2.37 at 10.15am.
