Global law firm Clifford Chance has named another experienced mergers and acquisitions lawyer to replace Michael Lishman at the helm of its Peth office.

Paul Vinci will take over as Clifford Chance’s Perth managing partner on January 31.

The appointment was announced today simultaneously with that of Jon Carson as senior partner.

Having helped lead the merger of Cochrane Lishman Carson Luscombe with Clifford Chance in 2011, Mr Lishman is leaving to head up corporate advisory firm Gresham Partners’ Perth office.

Like Mr Lishman, Mr Vinci cut his teeth at Mallesons Stephen Jacques before joining Cochrane Lishman Carson Luscombe in 2006.

Mr Carson joined the boutique firm in 2010 after working at Jackson Macdonald and Blake Dawson
Clifford Chance’s Asia Pacific managing partner, Peter Charlton, said in a statement both men were “well regarded and recognised in the WA legal market”.
