Handley Surveys wins contract extension

Handley Surveys says it has won a $25 million, two-year contract extension with Bechtel for surveying services at the Chevron's Wheatstone LNG project near Onslow.

The company said it expected the contract extension would create 30 full-time jobs for surveyors.

Handley Surveys said the contract brought its order book to about $40 million.

General manager Alex Handley said the company had recently expanded from its regional Karratha base to new corporate head office facilities in Perth.

The company employs 60 full-time staff and has accumulated more than 500,000 man-hours on LNG projects without a lost time injury.
