Calibre buys Ark for $3.3m
UPDATE 2.25pm: Calibre Group says its subsidiary G&S Engineering Services has bought Perth-based, resources-focused maintenance firm Ark Maintenance for $3.3 million.
Calibre said the acquisition was consistent with its ongoing strategy of expanding and strengthening its capabilities across the broader resources, energy and infrastructure markets nationally.
"It provides further opportunities for G&S to achieve growth by building its capability in the WA market, leveraging the combined capability, reputation and client relationships of Calibre," the company said in a statement.
The $3.3 million price will be paid in a combination of cash and shares and will include a cash bonus based on performance hurdles in FY2015.
Calibre Group shares closed up two cents, or 4.88 per cent, at 43 cents.
