Gryphon makes senior appointments

UPDATE 2.20pm: Gryphon Minerals has made three new senior appointments, which it says will strengthen its board and management.

The company has appointed former Catalpa Resources managing director and chief executive Bruce McFadzean as a new non-executive director.

Mr McFadzean's experience includes 15 years with BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto.

The company has also appointed former Coventry Resources managing director and chief executive Michael Naylor as its new chief financial officer.

Gryphon has also Newmont and Lycopodium engineer Roux Terblanche as a project development manager for its Banfora gold project in Burkina Faso.

Shares in Gryphon closed unchanged at 15 cents.
