ASG wins $21m in new contracts

UPDATE 2.20pm: ASG Group says it has secured new contracts worth $21 million and has more than $80 million worth of additional work in the final stages of approval.

The IT services provider said it had enlisted the Australian Transport Safety Bureau and Melbourne University as new clients and would provide new services for existing clients including Clough and the Future Fund.

The new agreements are part of the company's drive into so-called New World, or cloud-based IT services.

Managing director Geoff Lewis said the contract wins demonstrated the market was recognising the unique business proposition and capabilities that ASG offered, particularly in the area of New World.

"We are seeing new customers like the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) and existing customers such as Clough and Future Fund looking to change the way their information and communication technologies (ICT) delivers value to the business," he said.

"They are turning to ASG to transform their delivery models."

ASG shares closed up two cents, or 5.06 per cent, at 41.5 cents.
