WBHO Civil wins NBN contract

WBHO Civil has won a multi-million contract to undertake construction of the next stage of the National Broadband Network's (NBN) fibre rollout in Geraldton.

The company said it would employ more than 40 people directly on the works in addition to engaging a number of local companies to provide specialised services.

WBHO Civil director Michael Librizzi described it as a first for WA for a mid-tier contractor to engage directly with NBN Co and fill a Tier 1 spot.

WBHO Civil is the local subsidiary of South Africa-based WBHO. It has been operating in WA for the past 25 years and has offices in Perth, Karratha, Geraldton and Kwinana.
