Beadell maintains upgraded guidance

UPDATE 2.20pm: Beadell Resources has maintained its upgraded full-year production and costs guidance after producing 32,507 ounces of gold in the March quarter, up from 30,451 ounces in the previous corresponding quarter.

The Brazil-focused gold miner put full-year production guidance in a range 200,000-220,000 ounces at cash costs of $US535-$US585 an ounce with all in sustaining costs in a range of $US725-$US775 an ounce.

The company's guidance was upgraded during the quarter under a revised mine plan.

Cash costs for the quarter (after royalties and iron ore credits) were $US641 an ounce with all in sustaining costs of $US868 an ounce.

Beadell said it sold 38,757 ounces over the March quarter at an average price of $US1279 an ounce compared with 22,600 ounces in the previous corresponding quarter.

The company held $12.5 million in cash and bullion at the end of the quarter.

Beadell will hold its annual general meeting at the Rydges Hotel in Perth on Monday, May 19.

The company's flagship projects are the Tucano and Tartaruga projects in Brazil.

Shares in Beadell were up two cents, or 3.1 per cent, to 66.5 cents at the close.
