Engenco wins $4m Roy Hill contract
Engenco says it has won a $4 million contract to provide rail workers and train drivers for the Roy Hill iron ore project in the Pilbara.
The company said it had signed a deal with Leighton subsidiary John Holland, as subcontractor to Samsung C & T, for specialist railroad labour through Engenco's Perth-based Momentum business.
Work on the contract is scheduled to begin in May and is expected to last for 12-18 months.
It is the third contract Engenco has won at the Roy Hill project.
Its specialist training business, Centre for Excellence in Rail Training (CERT) has been awarded two contracts as a preferred supplier of rail training to both Samsung C & T and John Holland at Roy Hill.
Engenco managing director Ross Dunning described it as a significant contract win for Engenco, demonstrating the company's considerable expertise in the rail industry.
"Our Momentum business has been able to capitalise on our existing relationships at the Roy Hill project and provide a tailored solution to meet John Holland's needs," he said.
"This contract provides us with significant opportunities to increase our services to John Holland Group and Roy Hill, and we look forward to helping to develop this large iron ore project."
Engenco shares were unchanged at 16.5 cents at 8.20am.
