Downer wins two BHP contracts

Downer EDI says it has won two contracts with BHP Billiton in the Pilbara worth about $100 million.

The company said it had won a $40 million contract for the design and construction of railworks for an ore car repair workshop.

The other $60 million contract involves upgrading two conveyors at Nelson Point, Port Hedland, followed by the removal of the existing shiploaders.

Downer shares were up 11 cents, or 2.27 per cent, to $4.96 at 10.45am.
