Nannup s Craggy Pear is a family affair
Picture: Sandy Powell Michael and Natalie Jackson are opening The Craggy Pear Gallery at Templemore House in Nannup.

Nannup's Templemore Teahouse is being transformed into a gifts and homewares store.

Natalie and Mick Jackson have owned the property for seven years and, until recently, it has been leased from them as a cafe.

Mrs Jackson said they were in the process of renovating and redecorating the property into the Craggy Pear Gallery.

“We want to give it a bit more of a modern edge, while still holding on to that rustic feel,” she said.

Mrs Jackson said the project had become a family affair as they lived in the house upstairs from the existing building.

She said the property was well known at Nannup, with people loving to sit in the back gardens as the sun set.

It had even been a live music venue for the Nannup Music Festival.

The gallery will officially open on December 1 and will be open 10am-4pm Thursday to Monday, serving light lunches, cakes and coffee.

Mrs Jackson will host a sneak peek of the renovations on November 30 from 6pm.

It will be an evening of wine, nibbles and door prizes and attendees will be the first to view the range of homewares and gifts on offer.

To RSVP contact Mrs Jackson on 0488 088 098 by November 26.

The Craggy Pear Gallery is located at 8 Warren Road, Nannup.
