Hawkins quits as Aspen managing director

Gavin Hawkins has tendered his resignation as managing director of the Aspen Group of companies.

Chairman Frank Zipfinger thanked Mr Hawkins for his contribution to the property investment and funds management group over the 11 years since its formation.

"Gavin has provided outstanding service for the Group and has been a dedicated and energetic leader," Mr Zipfinger said in a statement to the ASX today.

"As a co-founder of the Group in 2001, he has displayed an entrepreneurial spirit in growing the business.

"In recent years, as managing director he has assisted in addressing legacy issues that required resolution to place the business on a stronger footing for the future.

"We extend our sincere best wishes to Gavin for the future."

Mr Zipfinger said that non-executive director Hugh Martin would assume the interim chief executive while a national search for a new chief executive was conducted.
