Shares in Iron Ore Holdings were higher after the company upgraded its resources estimates for its Pilbara satellite deposits.

The company said exploration and infill drilling at its Dragon, Rabbit, Snake and North Marillana satellite deposits.

IOH said it had lifted it hematite and channel iron mineral resource inventory to 559.3 million tonnes and its magnetite mineral resources 1.1 billion tonnes for a total mineral resource inventory of 1.6 billion tonnes.

IOH shares were up 8.5 cents, or 8.42 per cent, to $1.095 at 11.20am.
