Neptune Marine Services says it has won a $6 million contract from Japan's MODEC for work on a floating production, storage and offloading facility in the Carnarvon Basin.

Neptune will be using a vessel supplied by Singapore-based Pacific Radiance Group to complete the job.

The work is expected to be performed in January.

Neptune chief executive Robin King said it was an exciting contract for Neptune.
