Sandfire boss still upbeat

Sandfire Resources chief executive Karl Simich gave his usual upbeat presentation about the cash generator that is his DeGrussa copper-gold mine.

More pressing is the struggle by Sandfire to get some clarity around the intentions of its two biggest shareholders, Posco (15.3 per cent) and OZ Minerals (19.2 per cent).

Both want out but neither is in a rush, which is not helping Sandfire's share price.

This time last year was one of the regular instalments of market chatter that Posco was about to sell, only for little to happen.
