Zhenya's Digital CC gets bump

Shares in Zhenya Tsvetnenko's technology company Digital CC have received a much-needed boost after the company announced a move away from bitcoin and into the "global remittance market".

Digital CC said its new direction would be focused around Airpocket, a "peer-to-peer solution for remittances" which it described as an Uber or Air BnB solution.

The company's shares finished the day 8 cents, or 85 per cent higher, to 17.5 cents after the announcement. However they are still slightly below the company initial public offering price of 20 cents a share.

The company said the product would be launched before the end of June.

Digital CC suffered a major collapse in its share price over the past six months after an initial bounce following its mid last-year listing, with its share price following the fall of bitcoin.

Meanwhile in its second attempt, last week Mr Tsvetnenko's other company Mpire Media announced it will attempt to raise $6 million in a backdoor listing through failed explorer Fortunis Resources.

The raising is due to be finished by the end of June.

The company originally tried to list through Lithex Resources, but that process was abandoned in January.
