Decmil wins $26m Rio contract

UPDATE 2.45pm: Decmil has won a $26 million contract for the non-process infrastructure at Rio Tinto's Cape Lambert port B project in the Pilbara.

"This contract follows the award of a design, supply, fabrication, transportation, construction and commissioning contract to support the expansion of Rio Tinto's West Angelas deposit B, valued at approximately $35 million," Decmil said in a statement.

The new contract includes the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the Cape Lambert supply hub, the production administration building and the engineering, services building ablution block, including waste water treatment and treated water disposal system.

Decmil managing director and chief executive Scott Criddle said the work at Cape Lambert was another great win for Decmil as it further demonstrated the company's leading position in delivering non-process infrastructure at remote resource projects.

Shares in Decmil closed up 1.5 cents at $1.845.
