Quickflix signs deal with AAPT

UPDATE 2.55pm: Online movie company Quickflix says it has signed a multi-year deal with telco AAPT to provide all its cloud computing and content delivery network services.

Quickflix said the agreement would allow it to efficiently scale its movie and television streaming service to millions of customers across Australia and New Zealand.

Chairman and chief executive Stephen Langsford said the partnership with AAPT was about positioning the company for its next phase of growth while taking costs out of the business.

Quickflix shares closed flat at 1.7 cents after touching an earlier high of 1.9 cents.
