The terrifying moment Japanese Pokemon-GHOST hunters venture into spooky tunnel
Japanese gamers are just days into discovering the Pokemon Go craze, which is already sending the country into a frenzy as "trainers" try to catch the pocket monsters.
Two daring Pokemon trainers recorded their hilarious night quest into a dark tunnel, as they hunt the creatures to add to their collection.
The video begins with the men reluctantly approaching an ominous tunnel, tracking some monsters they believed were hiding inside.
The men appear frightened to go inside the spooky pitch black passage, but the pair proceed with caution using torches to guide them through.
Their fear soon turns to excitement when a Weedle appears on the one of the trainer's screens and he starts yelling in delight.
He seems ecstatic to catch his first of the type and begins to scream, while his fellow trainer starts yelling at the magical moment.
They catch a Magikarp next, and their terror becomes a distant memory.
The smartphone app has been launched in more than 40 countries, including Australia, the US and much of Europe since its rolling release began on July 6.
Japanese gamers are only days into the Pokemon Go phenomenon. As the nation where Nintendo started its mythical creature franchise 20 years ago it was an anxious wait for the local release.
