The 'appalling' texts Kieren Jack's 'jealous mother' sent to girlfriend Charlotte Goodlet

A number of abusive messages sent from Sydney Swans star Kieren Jack's mother to his girlfriend are said to be the force behind the wedge driving the family apart in a very public feud.

Driven by jealousy that she was no longer the main woman in his life, Kieren's mother Donna reportedly sent her son's girlfriend Charlotte Goodlet several texts expressing her dislike of the younger woman.

It came to a head this week when Donna used Twitter to call out her son for not offering her and Kieren's father, former NRL player Garry Jack, tickets to his upcoming milestone game against Geelong.

Kieren broke his silence on Wednesday, only to say it was a "private matter" and that he would stand by his girlfriend of three years, a former Miss Universe contestant and news producer.

The mother had been threatening to take the family relationship breakdown public for some time, News Corp reports.

According to veteran entertainment reporter Peter Ford, it is not the first time Donna Jack has turned on one of her star-athlete son's partners.

"Donna has said, and texted, the most appalling things to Charlotte. She doesn't like her and there seems to be no basis for her not liking her," Ford told Perth radio station 6PR.

"I might add she didn't like Kieren's last girlfriend either, so there seems to be a recurring theme here. She needs to take a good hard look at herself."

Ford went on to say the feud boiled down to the Jack parents' jealous desire to be at the centre of the Swans fanfare.

"It's about free tickets to a game, it's about wanting to be in the Swans' enclosure and being wined and dined as the parents of a star player.

"It is absolutely pathetic," Ford said.

During Wednesday's press conference, Kieren said it has been tough on Charlotte and said "she doesn’t deserve the treatment she has received".

“She is strong, she is an independent woman and not just a model. I love her very much and I am very proud of her,” the AFL star told reporters.

Kieren acknowledged his family in helping him to get into the position he is currently in, but said he was "pretty disappointed" it had become so public via tweets from his mother, Donna Jack.

“I don't want to get caught in a ‘He said, she said’, that’s a pretty immature approach," he said.

“What I will say is my priorities of support are firmly with my partner and my little brother, who I love and care for very much."

Kieren's father Garry Jack, a former NRL champion, claims he and his wife desperately wanted to attend their son’s milestone match on Friday, but Kieren instead gave the tickets to Charlotte's parents.

The devastated father out over the bitter feud and said the tickets were the final straw and claim it is what brought the drama "to a head".

“What brought it to a head was that this was Kieren’s 200th game on Friday and we said to the Swans that we would like to go to the game,” Garry said.

“The Swans said they would call us on Monday and I was informed by (welfare boss) Dennis Carroll at the Swans that Kieren had given the tickets to Charlotte’s parents. That’s what brought it to a head.”

Garry said it became "all too hard" when they were told they couldn't sit in the Swans designated area.

The Balmain Tigers legend said he has been trying fix this and sort it out for over 12 months and the dispute has hurt the family.

Frustrated for being barred from their son's game, Donna brought the dispute to the public eye by tweeting that her AFL star son had requested she and Garry not attend his milestone match.

"@kjack_15 so sad. Dad 200 RL you 200 AFL & you don't want us there, your parents. No appreciation for all the yrs helping you get there," Donna posted.

Garry said he supported his wife's tweet "100 per cent".

However, family friends told News Corp that the parents had not worked to resolve the situation and actually gave Kieren an ultimatum, which was to choose Charlotte or them.

The family friend also claims that Kieren and Brandon both felt suffocated by their parents and were pressured into thinking they “weren’t good enough”.

On Monday it emerged that Brandon hadn't spoken to his father for more than a year until Garry showed up unannounced at a Sydney reserves match

It is believed that his father was asked to leave the change room.

Garry denies being asked to leave the area but insists he and Brandon walked around the corner to talk about a private matter.

The frustrated parents have received the backing of their other son Rhys.

“I love and support my Mum and Dad to the end of the earth, 2 more genuine people you will not find. for me FAMILY is the number ONE priority," he tweeted.

Close friends of the Goodlet family privately supported her yesterday while declining publicly to add fuel to the social media fire.

“Charlotte is caring, smart and beautiful and has the nicest family,” one friend said.

“She’s the type of girl any parent should be delighted to have in their family."
