'The next I remember is waking up, getting teeth out of my mouth': Perth one-punch victim recalls attack

A man is in custody following a one-punch attack outside a bar in Perth that knocked man unconscious before he woke to pull bits of his teeth from his mouth.

The 21-year-old Nollamara man allegedly punched 23-year-old Trisian Ceccato in the back of his head as he was walking through the courtyard of the Murray Street bar about 12.20am on Saturday.


Police say he walked past the alleged attacker but was deliberately bumped before being struck in the back of the head.

Mr Ceccato lost consciousness after hitting his head on a table and the brick pavement.

"The next thing I remember is waking up with ambulance and paramedics around me, friends, and getting teeth out of my mouth," he said.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

"I spoke to my parents on the phone ... that's when it hit me, how shocked and scared they were," Mr Ceccato said.

Witnesses chased the alleged attacker down, holding him until police arrived.

The younger man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is due to face the Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday.
