New video confirms French pregnant tourist plea was a hoax

A new video has confirmed that claims from a French woman who said she was pregnant and trying to find the father of her baby is a fake.

The girl, going by the name Natalie Amyot, appears in the video with another man who say that the video was a marketing stunt for lettings company holiday Mooloolaba.

Andy Sellar, who is next to 'Natalie' in the video then says he owns a company called Sunny Coast Social Media and and the aim of the company is to create viral videos for businesses.

Mr Sellar explains the 'twist' and says that they wanted to put Mooloolaba on the map and that the young girl was a volunteer actress for the stunt.

He said: "This has been a viral video for Hoilday Mooloolaba. My name is Andy Sellar and I own a company called Sunny Coast Social Media and we do viral videos for businesses.

"Now I know there is going to be a lot of you that are upset by this and maybe not too happy but this young lady was just a volunteer in this.

"I did all the Facebook, the YouTube and all the answering, she had nothing to do with that, she was literally just an actress.

"We just wanted to put Mooloolaba on the map because it's a wonderful place.

"Thank you for watching and we are going to do many many more videos like this."

The speech on the video has not silenced critics who were not happy with the stunt which went viral in a very short space of time.

YouTube commenters made their feelings clear underneath the coming clean video.

Eljoseneger said: "Natalie Amyot You're a very stupid woman"

Mostawesomedudeever1 said: "You're an idiot. This will cause you so much grief and not to mention negative publicity."

Mizz K wrote: "I hope your business becomes ruined beyond repair. Your scam made a joke of our lovely Sunshine Coast and it's locals and showed nothing more than your lack of ethics towards the holiday consumers."

Angie S added: "This is disgusting!!!! I will never ever use Holiday Mooloolaba and I would suggest Sunny Coast Social Media that you DO NOT ever make any more of these kind of videos (or go find somewhere else to do it).

"The Sunshine Coast does not need to trick people into coming here for a holiday.

"How dare you play on the good-hearted nature of our community in such a way. You should be ashamed of yourselves. This is not ok."

TVNZ has reported on the money that 'Natalie' could have made from the viral video which was reported by naitonal and world media yesterday.

Viewers were encouraged to share the video and show their friends.

The video on YouTube was monetised with advertising overlays, which means 'Ms Amyot' has set up a Google Adsense account to collect revenue for each click the video gets.

When TVNZ wrote their article the video has been viewed more than 460,000 times.

This means based on average YouTube Adsense rates of between AU$1.93 and AU$4.83 per thousand views, 'Natalie' has already made between AU$891.96 and AU$2,232.31 from the video.

Skeptics were quick to declare the the whole thing as a hoax and have said the girl's real name is actually Alizé Michel and that she set up fake social media accounts.

The Facebook account has since disappeared and the Herald Sun reports that a Sippy Downs-based Instagram account under the name @alizeee_m has been switched to private.

A girl looking very similar to the one in the video also appeared in a photo in the Sunshine Coast Daily newspaper in June under the name Alizé Michel.

The Herald Sun also reports a man has phoned a Sunshine Coast radio station this morning claiming she is a Sunshine Coast marketing student.

Yet plenty are willing to give the woman the benefit of the doubt.

Ms Amyot took to Facebook to ask for help in finding the father of her child, who she met on the last night of her three-month trip to Australia.

This week she returned to Mooloolaba from Paris, to track down the man she spent ‘a beautiful night’ with.

Ms Amyot says she instantly fell in love with the man, yet she cannot share his name or has no way of contacting him.

The 26-year-old brunette posted a video onto Facebook and YouTube claiming she discovered she was pregnant six weeks later after the pair’s one-night-stand.

But the unusual love story has sparked questions over whether it’s actually true.

It’s been an entire day since the video surfaced and there’s no sign of the father or any leads to finding out who he is.

Some have also questioned why Ms Amyot doesn’t know more about the mystery man.

Hundreds of people have also taken to Facebook to help Ms Amyot, expressing their concerns and support.

Since the story went viral, Ms Amyot has posted her doubts about meeting the man, blaming the fact it’s now a national headline as a reason for possibly scaring him off.

'I’m shaking now I’m in crying now..W….hat if he doesn’t want to see me now, maybe he is shy.... am so lonely right now [sic],' she tearfully wrote on Facebook on Tuesday night.

'Please .I didn’t think it would be on news...I just want to see him again...sorry..I have nothing left if I don’t find him I’ll go home...I just want to see ..If he says no then ok...Is that wrong? [sic].'

'Thankyou for the kind thoughts...am sorry if i have upset anyone doing this...i am just going to go on esplanade tommorw and every day and see...i don’t want to go not tv as he will scare by it.....am lost here [sic],' she wrote in her latest post.

Ms Amyot claims she has no family of her own and implored people to help her track down the father of her unborn child.

..............EARLIER.......................

It's like something from a Hollywood movie - a French tourist with no family has travelled half way across the globe to track down the love of her life and the father of her unborn baby.

Natalie Amyot visited Queensland's Sunshine Coast earlier this year and had a holiday romance on her last night in Mooloolaba.

She returned to Paris the next day only to find out she was pregnant six weeks later.

Having returned to Australia, Ms Amyot posted a video to YouTube on Tuesday with an impassioned plea to her lover.

She has also set up a Facebook page and asked Sunshine Coast locals to help her search effort.

"If he doesn't want to know then that's okay but I really want to try and find him.

While some social media users have applauded her grand gesture others are claiming it's a hoax.

Amyot took to Facebook today to thank people for their support.

There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved' and thanked people who posted comments, saying 'your support and help has made me cry x x x'.
