Bart Simpson heading to Perth

Ay, caramba! Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, is heading to Perth.

The Emmy Award winner is coming to WA next month as part of the annual Supanova Pop Culture Expo, which will take place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on June 27 and 28.

For over 25 years, Cartwright has not only provided the voice of Bart but also iconic Simpsons characters such as Nelson Muntz, Ralph Wiggum and Todd Flanders.

A veteran in the business, Cartwright is also the voice behind characters Chuckie from Rugrats, Rufus from Kim Possible and Mindy from Animaniacs.

Also heading to Perth for Supanova is Billy West, who has voiced some of animation’s most iconic characters, including Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd (Space Jam, Looney Tunes) and the Red M&M.

The voice actor’s most notable work includes the title characters from Ren & Stimpy and Doug, and an array of characters from Futurama such as Fry, Professor Farnsworth and Dr Zoidberg.

The pair join already announced Supanova stars heading to Perth including Nathan Fillion (Castle, Firefly, Serenity), Bonnie Wright (Harry Potter), and Susan Olsen, Christopher Knight and Christopher Knight from The Brady Bunch.
