Gale heads to US Mad Max premiere

WA supermodel Megan Gale is jetting off to Los Angeles just in time to see herself on screen for the Mad Max: Fury Road premiere.

Gale, whose role in the George Miller sequel to the Mad Max trilogy is a secret until the premiere, was among the best dressed at the Logie Awards on Sunday night in a shimmering black Alex Perry number.

The model/actress said she wasn’t planning a big evening so she could spend time with her son River last night before her flight.

Gale says she is keen to do more movies now that River is a little older.

“I am opening myself up now for auditions because during the first year of River’s life I really just wanted to be with him,” she said at the Logies, which she attended with AFL partner Shaun Hampson, right.

“It was kind of pointless to audition for things if potentially I did get a role as it would be uprooting and disrupting him.”

River turns one next week and Gale and Hampson are planning a low-key celebration.

Gale did her own stunts in Mad Max: Fury Road, which stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.

After the LA premiere she will head home briefly before travelling overseas again for the Cannes Film Festival, where she will walk the red carpet for L’Oreal.
